As Memory Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for enhancing the overall memory care Resident and Family experience through the provision of comprehensive leadership to the team working within our memory care environment with thorough and passionate training and mentoring on our specialized program, Luminations®, entering their world. This is to be handled in The Sterling Touch® friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner, resulting in a very high level of Resident satisfaction. This position is under the general guidance of the Executive Director in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, practices and philosophy.

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in Start Sterling! line up every day.
  • Greet the Residents, guests, fellow employees and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with Director of Health and Wellness to ensure and provide nursing services as required, including medication administration and delegation and/or provision of care and services to residents, whose conditions are allowed to be cared for within a memory care assisted living per State regulations.
  • Oversee the Life enrichment opportunities within the Luminations® memory care program.
  • Prepare personalized notes and periodic reports for the health and wellness team to document well being plans for each resident.
  • Establish and hold at least two group support (Memory Caf) meetings on a regular basis for the families of residents residing in the Luminations® Neighborhoods. Each Luminations® resident family member will be invited by you in writing to participate, attend, and provide feedback that will be reported to the ED.
  • Create and carry out a robust Luminations® calendar, involving Fitness, Craft and Hobby, Spiritual, and other components of the Facets™ criteria.
  • Focus on training and mentoring, especially with dedicated Luminations® team members, to ensure carry out and follow through of Luminations® Facets™ Calendar.
  • Help train members of the team regarding appropriate activities, leaving the Neighborhood for activities, etc.
  • Help ensure compliance in all areas of Luminations®, including food and chemical storage, employee breaks, and cleanliness.
  • At the request of families or nursing, participate in care conference meetings for residents in Luminations®.



  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred.


  • Two or more years of experience managing a memory care program in a senior living environment, highly preferred.

Licenses or certificates:

  • Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate, per state regulations. Which may require:
    • Certified Medication Aide/Medication Technician License and/or
    • Certified Nursing Assistant
