The Corporate Sales Specialist is responsible for enhancing the overall Resident experience through exceptional community-based sales team training and mentoring, allowing the local sales team to perform at their highest achievement levels.  Their achievement will be measured through securing deposits, facilitating move-ins and creating high levels of occupancy across the Grand Living communities.  This is to be handled in The Sterling Touch® friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner, resulting in a very high level of occupancy, while maintaining exceptional Resident satisfaction. This position is under the general guidance of the National Director of Sales and Marketing, in accordance with Grand Living's standards, processes, procedures, practices and philosophy.


Essential Functions:

  • Abide by Grand Living principles and participate in Start Sterling every day.
  • Greet the Residents, guests, fellow employees and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Assume open sales counselor or sales support position at assigned Grand Living communities.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director (ED) and Community Sales Counselors / Marketing Transition Support Coordinators in the development and execution of the marketing plans in the assigned community (ies) or region (s).
  • Provide direct selling, training and support to improve sales performance and meet/exceed sales expectations for assigned communities.
  • Develop relationships with qualified referral sources, conduct tours with potential residents and their families and close sales.  
  • Establish community relations events to promote goodwill and awareness in the community.
  • Maintain good, active relationships with all residents and their families.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals of communities in concert with ED, National Sales and Marketing Director and Owners.
  • Introduce and train new programs that support audience engagement, brand awareness and demand generation for assigned communities.
  • Due to resident expectations and both planned and unplanned events/occurrences, employee will be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business and service needs of the Community.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university.
  • Five years of related experience and/or training in Senior Living sales
  • Proven track record of generating and closing qualified leads as well as training and development of exceptional sales teams.
  • Must be willing travel up to 100% of the time


Specific Position Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating environment, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry CRM applications.
  • Sales expertise, and the ability to train others on best practices
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language in order to communicate with prospects, their families, guests, community leaders and other employees.
